Europe′s So-Loved Awards crowns its winners


Europe has crowned its winning K-Pop acts for the year.

The results from this year’s So-Loved Awards, Europe’s first K-Pop awards, were announced via its official homepage on December 8.


Held by Colors of Korea, a web magazine that introduces Korean culture to Europe, KBS World and other Korea-related organizations, this year′s So-Loved Awards was the third of its kind.

Over 300,000 fans overwhelmingly crowned 2NE1 the female band of the year as 2NE1 beat out second place f(x) and third place Secret by wide margins. 

The race for male band of the year was a closer one as Big Bang came out on top of Super Junior by approximately seven percentage points and SHINee came in third. 


G-Dragon won over Kim Junsu and Tablo as male solo artist while G.Na won over Gain and Ali in the female solo artist category. 

Ailee and B.A.P were crowned the female and male newcomer acts respectively while Block B won for best album and Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby for best song.
